Long story short, I had a toilet problem, and now I have sewage water that got on the floor and some of my things and a few throw rugs. Im scared to call a flood cleanup/restoration company cause I’m afraid they will throw out everything to cover themselves of liability. Has anyone had a sewage backup and dealt with a flood cleanup company before? Do they just disinfect, or do they want to have everything thrown out and replaced? Thanks!
on an added note, homeowners insurance wont cover the damages so that’s why I’m asking cause I don’t know what kind of a bill I will get… :/

Depends how bad the spill is, I have had them come because my poppy tank busted and it came back through my toilet,shower, and bathtub. So they may want you to replace some things and they may throw out a rug or two to get to the spill.
